Time is finite: Part 1

I spent some time in Queensland the other week, and it was great. I loved the temperature, I loved getting around in shorts and a T-shirt, I loved the relaxed attitude of the people I was with. What I didn't enjoy was the lack of time I had there. A recurring theme in my life currently is not being able to squeeze enough things into the time available.

A good example is today. I was intending on being at a tarmac motorkhana today, torturing some automobile or another. Now, that intention was put aside by other factors, including the need to spend time with family and friends, the need to do some essential housework, and the desire to have a mobile rally car and motorbike once more.

It's a common meme. Maybe it's just poor time management (I am procrastinating writing this, instead of tackling the icy shed and the rally car), but the time seems to evaporate ever rapdily, the more desperate I am for more time to fit things into my day.

Still, I guess, if it's important, you find time to do it...

Sacrilege, or just Unique?

Either way, I kinda like this:

While there is no doubt in my mind that Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift will be a painful cinematic experience, the idea of sticking RB26DETT's in cars from the 60's appeals to me. retrotech all the way, baby.

Except, while the 67 Mustang is an automotive sculpture classic, a veritabe piece of art on wheels, underneath the skin it's still a 1963 Falcon. And that ain't much of a thing to praise.

Much thanks to Jalopnik for the link.

In other news, Jalopnik also had the hook up for images from the live-action Transformers movie. Some of the cars look cool, but who knows what the movie will be like on release.
